Some of the Safest Cars Recommended by Experts

August 16, 2016
You can never predict accidents. The least you can do is to be prepared at all times. The good news is car manufacturers all over the world are doing their best to improve the safety features of their products—from engine performance and safety driving features to durable body kit and under-chassis.
The New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia (ASEAN NCAP) tested the following cars according to adult occupant compliance (AOC) and children occupant compliance (COC) to which these cars got high scores.

Honda HR-V

The return of Honda’s HR-V may have upset the crowd with its “awkward” exterior, the Japanese manufacturer, however, fared a redesigned version of their multi-classified automobile. They brag a 72.2% for child safety and earned 14.79 points on adult occupant compliance. You can make sure that both you and your children can enjoy the road with nothing much to worry about.

Mitsubishi Strada

Similar to the HR-V, Mitsubishi combines mobility, utility, and safety in one vehicle. The mighty-looking pick-up truck scored 13.56 points in adult safety and got a 48% in child occupant compliance. Although Mitsubishi Strada received a lower mark than Honda’s HR-V, it promises a powerful and efficient use especially when you drive it on the country road.

Nissan Altima

Nissan Altima might just be the safest sedan offered in the market, according to its assessment scores by the ASEAN NCAP. Rest assured that you’ll arrive at your destination safe and sound with its excellent AOC score and 88% grade in child occupant compliance. It also comes with ISOFIX car seats designed for children which earned its high COC rating.

Ford Ranger

American brand, Ford, managed to get high safety compliance scores with Ford Ranger amid its poor safety features on most of their basic models. It got 15.45 points and 63% in adult and child safety, respectively, which makes it exceptionally ingenious and well-made.

Toyota Innova

A more edgy Toyota Innova made its way to the market with its impressive new features which put itself in the top safest car in the Philippines. It earned a 76% in child safety, and 14.1 points in adult occupant protection that also comes with an anti-lock braking system. A slippery road wouldn’t be a problem anymore. Just make sure to focus driving and driving alone.

Altogether, these road stunners can do the job when it comes to safety and performance. You might want to test drive them yourself to check whether the statistics are true (or not, which is improbable). Safe trip, rovers!
